The Assin South District is among the twenty (20) Metropolitan, Municipalities and Districts of the Central Region of Ghana. Nsuaem-Kyekyewere is the Administrative capital of the District.The District shares common boundaries with Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira District on the West, Abura Asebu Kwamankese District on the South, Asikuma Odoben-Brakwa District and Ajumako Enyan-Esiam District respectively on the East and Assin North Municipal to the Northern border.

ASSIN S: Assembly to roll-out programmes and policies soon The Assin South District Assembly will soon roll-out its programmes and policies for the year under the “Better Ghana” agenda initiative following a directive from the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) that all District Chief Executives are to retain their positions until May 2013.
